I picked up this pruner the other day. It is stamped M. Klein & sons, Chicago, made in USA. After a bit of research, the closest thing to it is a schrade pruner.
Any idea on the age/era?

I'm guessing (and maybe I read it somewhere) that Klein contracted these out at some point.
Notice there is no "ring" on mine.
Any ideas about the age/era of mine ?

Klein, if I'm not mistaken was an electrical supply house. All their tools etc were made on contract and branded with their name. I know that Camillus made many of their knives, it wouldn't surprise me if Schrade did as well. Nice looking pruner.

Klein is one of the top names in electrical tools. I've been told that the difference between the pruner and the electrical wire stripper was the pruner had a sharp tip on the hawkbill where the stripper had a rounded tip.
