Neat, you have used both mandibles to make the handle. What do you do to keep the teeth from falling out ?
Somewhere i have a fixed blade with a coyote mandible for the handle. Problem is the teeth kind of bite when you grip firmly.
Still a unique and even attractive folder.

Nice work Kaleb! ::tu::
I bet you could design a sheath that could be slid back over the handle to make using it comfortable. ::nod::

it actually feels remarkably good in the hand, the deer jaw ones need the teeth dulled or they will cut you.

Kaleb, do you do anything to secure the teeth ?
Did you clean the coyote jaws yourself ?
It is a real challenge to get them that clean of all soft tissue without using lye which can dissolve some of the bone and all of the dental ligaments so that teeth fall out.
Museums get tiny skulls etc cleaned by the Beetles ! Not the singers but the tiny little insects that are everywhere worldwide including in your food drawer.

Really nice MM...can you imagine what a warrior from one of the
plains tribes would have traded for that in the early 1800's !!!
And Joe...with the mandibles talk...I feel like I just turned on Bone's ::nod::

hi stagman, i don't understand this reference to "Bones": "I feel like I just turned on Bone's"
i am devoid of pretty well all 'pop culture' knowledge as i have not had a TV for decades and the last movie i saw was "Ben Hur" (1956 ?). Maybe "Bone's" is a music group ?
