Well....I jumped in with both feet!

I had a couple of electricians knives, and after seeing some of the magnificent work of turning them into a single blade jack knife here on the site, I just couldn't wait. I tore into one of them....of course making all the mistakes you'd expect from a know-nothing beginner. But, I was having fun and there wasn't a "museum quality" knife at stake here, so what the hey?
I managed to get it down to the basic components. Blades, springs, liners, etc. The only real problem I had was getting the front bolsters apart. Finally, with a fair amount of cussin' and kickin', they cooperated.
I circular filed the screwdriver blade, reassembled the jack blade and liners and managed to get the rocker, bloster and butt pins back in place....piened over and filed/buffed up. I rehandled it with some Brazilian tigerwood. I haven't done the finish sanding on it yet. My only problem with the semi-finished knife is the gawd awesome "walk and talk". Holy cow! This thing is a nail buster! It's a Camilus knife and the springs are super thick. Is it permitted to sand them down somethat thinner to eleminate some of the extremely hard snap? I know this is supposedly a positive attribute to a knife, but this thing is incredibly "feisty"!
Overall, I'd give it a 5 or 6 out of a possible 10. But, I'll do better on the next one. I'm livin' and learnin', thanks to you guys.

Yeah....the handle shape is somewhat "different" eh? I call it my "cigar shape". What the hell....got to call it something, right?
