Schrade knife

I haven't posted on the forum for a while. I have been collecting Colt autos and the knife collecting has been slow. I did stop by the local trade days today and bought this knife. I know nothing about Schrade's. I thought for $55 I could use it as a carry knife. I would like to know more about it. Is it rare, collectable, value? What pattern is it , is the bone considered greenbone? Is it all correct? For some reason I like this knife. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I am not sure about the blade finish. Looking thru a 5x loupe, it has micro pitting you cant see with the naked eye. the sides of the pitting look sharp and not smooth over also seeing vertical lines in the blades. Don't know if original finish would have that or not. Also the blades have oil on them, did not clean before pics.

Does look to have been cleaned, but looks real nice for $55. The main blade looks a tiny bit short, but still pretty full.

It might have been polished at some point, but not highly polished it does not have a mirror finish.

Nice knife JEARL. It's an equal end jack. How long is it?

Is there any books on the early Schrade pocket knives? From a little research it appears the bone jigging is a early type of jigging called (pick jigging). Does this sound correct? As far as a pattern number the closes I found is a 256?

Looking through the Schrade Catalog E.... I'd say you have a 2563 Equal end Jack knife. 3-3/8" 2 blades, brass lined, nickel silver bolsters and shield, cleaned inside, large blade crocus polished on one side, Bone stag handle. 256 would be the number for a Schrade Walden...sounds like the same knife
