Normally whatever is in my pocket at the time, but when I plan ahead I use this 4" Old Cutler Texas Jack. Back on May 2nd I was tying to get my Weed & Feed out before the rain - cut the bag with the Case 6318 I had in my pocket. OH

Well, I see I put my pictures of non-Schrade knives in the Schrade Forum - sorry about that gents. Gotta watch that "Recent Conversation Topics" column on the AAPK home page - never know where you'll end up! OH

I have a dedicated "yard work" beater. My old beater (a Buck Odyssey) finally gave up the ghost when it's liner lock wouldn't engage anymore (this is after 8 years or so of scraping, cutting trimmer wire, trimming branches, mulch bags, etc) so my "new" dedicated yard knife is a Kershaw Rake (awesome knife)

That being said, when I'm just out putzing around the yard, and not doing anything that looks deliberately like work (you can tell because usually flip-flops and beer and involved) it's whatever happens to be in my pocket. This past week I snagged a pair of Parker-Schrade Bison's. One for my 4" stockman display, the other for my pocket. It was a tough choice, but the red bone bison went into the display (blades had less staining, better overall fit and finish) and the green bone (I'm partial to green  ) went into the pocket. It was in there Saturday, and it's in there today as well.

If you need any of those Schrade/Parkers I've got a few I'd get rid of.
