here's the Son of a Gun 225OT... Common?

I usually use sold items on eBay as my reference point when trying to determine value or rarity. There were two 2250T's that recently sold for between $36.75 and $45.00 but they appeared to be in much rougher shape than yours and without the box. There are many Schrade aficionados on this site so somebody will come along and give you a complete answer to your question. By the way to AAPK! Tom

I found a thread from 4 yrs ago on here(below)... It turns out that the 225OT is fairly rare, as it was only made for 2-3 yrs. Good to know.

There were some 225s that sold on ebay that were mint or near mint.
One near mint example sold for $80 ($79 and change) and a couple mint examples sold for $135 & $140.

The 225OT was listed in the Schrade catalogs from 1990 to 1992. There may have only been one production run and it took 3 years to sell all of the stock, or they could have produced them each year, but apparently it was not a big enough seller for Schrade to keep it in production.

They also ran off a few with a 226OT tang stamp, with the clip blade in stainless, and the blades loaded into the frame in an opposite manner, destined for the European market, but some were seeded out here in the States.

One of my favorite Schrade knives. I have two. One safe queen and one constant companion on many hunting trips since I purchased it in 1991. The saw is still as sharp as new and cuts through breast plates and bone like a hot knife through butter.

I also was able to procure an aforementioned 226ot a few years back. Still on the lookout for the 226ot outlier with the Uncle Henry delrin stag handles.

If you search this forum a few years back there is posted pic of a prototype with a folding hatchet that never made it to production until Taylor started producing them in China.
