Crown Cutlery/Walden N.Y. ?

Here is a Serpentine Jack, 3 13/16" marked: "Crown Cutlery Co." in an arch, over: "New York/Made in U.S.A."
The secondary blade is marked "Cut. Co./Walden, N.Y." The tang area above this looks like it might have been filed down removing some of the markings.
I have just received this knife. The ebay listing does show part of the secondary tang but i failed to take note of it.
Most of Crown Cutlery knives were imported from Germany but some were manufactured in USA.
Do the markings on the secondary indicate that it is a replacement blade ?
Or, might this have been made by Schrade Cut. Co. and one of their already marked blades was used ?
Action of both blades is smooth & similar and there is no play.
The experts are needed here i think, so thanks for the help.

I don't think the pen blade is original. I don't like the way it sits in the frame closed and the blade thickness appears quite a bit thinner than the back spring. The frame and handles could be US made but the shield and bone don't look Schrade Cut to me. I would like to see it in hand. Not definite but combined with the filed off stamp I don't like it much.
How is the pen blade action opening and closing?

I think the Crown I have was made by Utica. I wouldn't disagree with Wayne on all points.

Wayne, thanks for your help. I did mention this regarding blade action: "Action of both blades is smooth & similar and there is no play".
With eyes closed and just feeling blade action there is nothing that seems out of place; feels 'normal'.

The pen blade is not sitting in the correct position, looks like the kick was filed down. One or both blades have been altered.

I believe that the knife is an authentic Crown Cut Co dogleg jack, but that the pen blade was replaced with a pen blade from a Schrade Cut. Co knife, with the word "Schrade" gently filed off.
I have owned a number of Crown Cut co knives, they all say New York but none have Walden.

Here is a Crown that I have.
Next I will post a Henry Sears that I have made on the exact same frame - I believe that both were made on contract by Utica.

Steve, thanks for your input on my knife.
Joe, very nice example of a Crown Cutlery knife. Jigging is not the same as on my knife but i think knife companies could have used more than one jigging pattern.
