Schrade collectors I have a question. Did Scrade Cutlery Co. ever produce a congress pattern knife ?

I can't think of one off the top of my head, but I would imagine Schrade Cut Co likely did, I am just not familiar enough with all their patterns to say yea or nay.

Here are two of mine. The lighter peachseed jig bone is a Schrade Cut Co and the darker jig bone is a Shapleigh DE Hardware Co but Schrade made.

Schrade Walden made the smaller versions later on. A 974 and 774.

Both of these have Delrin handles.

The below pics are all of the Schrade Cutlery Co. Congress pattern knives listed in their 1926 catalog to include the supplements for: 1928-30-32-34-36-38.
I have the 1971 A.G. Russell reprint of the 1926 catalog.
I included the entire page that listed all the Congress patterns throughout the 108 page catalog.

I read somewhere that Keen Kutters trademark shield is supposed to represent the tooth of a saw blade cutting through a board.

Would the 44ot be considered a congress pattern?...always wondered about that.

I would think not since it does not have the typical half moon shape handle of a congress. But that's just my personal assumption.

Some great knives shown here. These are my SW 773 and 774. The 773 was difficult to find in unused condition. The 774 is the same knife pictured in Sargents book. It came from the factory collection.
