From the tang stamp I would have guessed that it wasn't a collaboration, but then again, I bought it from Herman so it could be. They sure did. I believe they started selling the knives in the Fall of 1980.Someone will know more about this but some of the Schrade/Wostenholmes were built in Sheffield and some were assembled in N.Y. from parts shipped from Sheffield. Schrade promised the collectors that they would keep exacting records of how many of each knife pattern were made in a calendar year and that information would be available upon request from the factory.
