I think these last 3 knives are more recent Camillus production.

Two of them are custom shop. An ornate whittler Senator 3" with 3 blades, with a lot of file work (first 4 photos). A highly polished smooth horn bone #86 at 3-1/4" (next 2 photos). Both are beautifully made!

The last one is a #21 Peanut in a sabre grind (last 3 photos).

.....cs, I have a senator like that, only mine doesn't have the file work. it is 4line stamped on all blades(1914-1919). someone really used it, the file blade is worn almost completely smooth, the paired clip blade is less than 1/8" wide and the master is also worn down nearly 50%. the bone is still beautiful and it still works, someone carried this one a long time and I still do at times!!........ ::tu:: .....................

Dave looks like the little whittler with the file work is a short line stamp. That would (or should ) make it older than the other two. Very nice split spring! ::tu::

Thanks Greg! I took some better pictures just now of the tang stamps. See what you think after seeing these photos.

Yeah, definitely a short line plus that gorgeous bone just reeks of the days of yore!

Those ones from the custom shop may have been done by Wallace Rockwell.
They are definitely outstanding examples of Camillus knives!

Thanks Dale! I'm going to look into Wallace Rockwell and see what I can find out about his work.

The Senator Whittler is a beautiful knife. I am very partial to the Senator pattern.
