Greetings Friends,
I have a Case XX U.S.A 1965-1969 number #14 salesman sample display case for sale. It contains 20 knives in unused condition. It measures 10” X 16” X 17.5”. The knives have never been removed from their display board and have the meticulously placed wires which hold each blade open for viewing. No hands have held them since the original board assembly person’s. The back of the case lists that it was shipped in Feb. 1969 and thus the knives were likely made in 1968 or prior. The display shows the price tags for each knife. Inside the back there is a price/order sheet showing the individual pattern numbers. Most are bone with what looks like 3 being slick black and 1 being wood. None have been removed from the case since it was shipped. This display came from F.J. Rogers Sporting Goods in Florence, MA. I received it from Mr. Rogers, who’s grandfather opened the store in 1908 and, unfortunately, is closing this year. Rarely do you find a case in such original and fine condition. It comes with its original key which locks the case.

The patter numbers listed are as follows…
6233
6220
6333
6225 1/2
61048
2138
6244
6202 1/2
62055
6232
6235 1/2
6318 SH
640045-R
2231 1/2 SAB
6347 SH SP
6292
62009 1/2
62048 SP
6249
12031 L

I am asking $2,500 (shipped) or best reasonable offer for this. I would accept personal check or money order.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Thanks and all the best,

Wonderful "Historic" display Beechtree ::groove::
I wonder how many more pieces of history are just waiting to be found.

Can you observe any "Wire Marks" on the handles?
Such as my Schrade below?

Thanks Old Folder,
I don't see any marks. It looks like the wire was placed on the bolster when possible. I see no marks on these either.
After examine for wire marks, I did notice a pin crack in the small stockman pattern.
Cheers,

A pin crack in the small stockman pattern would not even come up in question with me.
I think it will sell FAST.
