I just received a "factory second" S&W HRT3 "Boot Knife" in the mail today.

The 3 1/2" black blade dagger has a soft rubber coating on its 3 1/2" handle. This is a "factory second" because it came with no box or papers and it's "spine" (mid-point on the blade) is slightly off-center. It is still made from the 7Cr17MoV steel as are the rest of the Taylor Brand LLC knives. Call me a sucker, but I like this little guy! It is built as a "single-purpose" knife. You, I and everyone else knows it. (It is still neat)!
With a bit of work, I re-profiled the blade and it took a decent edge.
I'll be looking to secure the plastic belt clip on the blade with cyanoacrylate glue ("Super" type glue") Just to make certain that it won't dislodge itself from the sheath. It comes with black-oxide coated ball chain to use this as a "neck knife". (I'll use it elsewhere). In all, the $4.99 that I paid for the little Chinese Smith & Wesson dagger was well worth the coin.
Go on amazon and buy one for fun (Trust me, you'll enjoy it).
