All About Pocket Knives

I thought I would make a thread showing this series. Unfortunately I do not have the bling for two out of the six, so I cannot show that. I will try to show the rest. But first I will show the seventh knife, not part of that series, but a special release of 2500 knives in 1983 as a Christmas promotion for Montgomery Wards.

The first installment in the series was the Thunderbird, in 1981, with 10K units theoretical.

That Montgomery wards knife is pretty special. First time seeing it. I like the limited edition etch. Thanks for posting it.

I do enjoy scrimshaw knives and yours is choice.

I forgot to mention that my posts show objects as flat-bed scans, not photographs, and sometimes do not represent the object very accurately, especially bright metal. The second release was the Morning Star for 1982, with 10K units. All of these knives, by the way, have Schrade+ stainless steel blades and came in a nesting dark brown box with a rigid plastic molded place for the sheath and the knife. There was a clear plastic 'window' with white lettering on top of the knife and sheath. This one had the SCHRADE CUTLERY copyrighted logo, MORNING STAR, a representation of the morning star, and 'LIMITED EDITION LOCKBACK.'The lettering on the top of the box was in gold. The dimensions of the boxes were 6.5 X 8.75 X 1 7/8 inches. The artist who created the images for the 'scrimshaw' was Georgianni.

Tongueriver - that is a very interesting group of knives. Thank you for creating this thread to share some information about them. I like the turtles best of the series so far!
