remington pattern number

I don't have too many remingtons. I just bought 3 7/8 in , green swirl,federal shield, clip,spey,and pen. I know the first letter is R, and the last number
should be 5 for pyremite. But how do i figure out the rest of the numbers??

How 'bout a few pictures? Those can go a long way to identify a knife for folks like us.
Oh and by the way one can narrow it down a bit by the knife pattern, example, jack, pen, cattle, etc.

You know I like the challenge...given the information you shared One can Narrow it down quite a bit.
Given Facts:
1. Pyremite handle
2. 3 blades, clip, pen and spey
3. Federal shield
4. Length 3 7/8 inches.

A STOCKMAN WOULD PUT IT IN THE R3000 TO R5999 PATTERNED KNIVES.

Regular clip, match striker pull. Remington umc in circle,made in usa around it. 1924-1933 tang stamp?? Long swedge from tip to past the pull.
