I don't have a good reference guide on Marbles knives. Can someone help me figure out the approximate age of my stag on stag knife? Thanks!

Welcome to AAPK! ::tu::

Cannot help you on age, but it certainly looks like a nice knife.

Photos taken looking straight down on the knife would be more help. Those angled shots distort the knife.

Front, back and a good shot of the marking.

Someone here will know more than I. ::facepalm::

Thanks Charlie. Good tip on straight forward photos. Here are a couple more shots. I'm glad I happened on to this forum.

I don't have much for you. The only thing I can say is that stamp looks earlier than the "Stewart Era" ('97-'02). A little more research makes it appear 1924-1941 but if I'm reading it correctly, there's more to dating a Marbles than just the tang stamp. Read this thread over on Blade Forums for more information. Keep in mind that Mike Stewart is THE MAN on Marbles.

Thanks Jerry. That thread on tang markings was quite interesting. I finally enlisted my wife's help to photograph. If this helps anybody confirm approximate age I would appreciate it. I've not found a reference for the Marbles tang markings yet. Thanks to all!
