All About Pocket Knives

Here is a primitive clasp knife I just finished. This is the first of this style I have made. The blade is forged from a file, spring is forged 1095, nickel hardware ,steel pins, deer tine handle assembly aged up a little for effect, I might give the blade the vinegar treatment later on, or just use it to cut up some taters in the morning for breakfast.

Great looking knife MM, I have seen a knife that the owner had taken a potato split it then left the blade inside over night. It made it look pretty cool.

The style may be primitive but certainly not your execution. I love the flow and balance between the blade and handle.

I think the OP did a fine job.

I've seen a number of folding knives made from files. I have a Mervin Masters that the blade and spring were made from old files. The spring didn't have all the file teeth ground off, so when half open, you can see what it once was, if you look closely.

Kaleb, have you ever given any thought to being a forged in fire contestant?
