All About Pocket Knives

Hi folks, Thanks for allowing me to join. I have been buying and collecting knives since I was a kid, mostly just what I liked or got a good deal on but they had to be USA made. I like custom fixed blades mostly but have a lot of case knives I have picked up at gun shows, flea markets, auctions, yard sales etc. I know very little about Case knives but have always liked them. I have just bought a group of 10 in a show case and am wondering what I have. They all have 5 dots and all have the same handle material and all are different models, all are SS. What I would like to know is if this was a set put out by Case or if someone assembled it. They all are in excellent unused condition. Any idea what their value is. Were these made in 1995? Thanks for any input.

That looks like a display case that you can buy from Shepard Hills Cutlery. The knives are a limited edition in antique bone. You could buy them separately as I have one of the 6240 examples. I don't know though if they came as a complete set as you have pictured . !995 Manufacture date

Welcome MarlinMan. Glad to have you join us. That is a very handsome display. I feel confident it has considerable value, but I don't have the knowledge to be more specific. Someone may be along who can give you a more precise insight.

Welcome to AAPK. I'll give this a whirl. Got this info from the Case website:

"The very first XX Limited Edition Series was introduced in 1995. The knives featured Antique Bone handles, Car 'Bar' shields and Tru-Sharp surgical steel blades. Each of the ten patterns were limited to 2,500 production pieces." These were sold as individual knives and not as a set. Very nice display.

A quick ebay search for Antique 1995 knives shows a low of $23.50 and a high of $95.00 SOLD..Nice knives and welcome to the pro jungle.

A man after my own heart! I only have one 39, a 1973 39M. I love it though. My main deer rifle is a late 50's 336SC .35 rem. Inlove me some Marlin rifles.
