Cut co patterns and production amounts

I have a two part question, really they're kind of seperate questions but anyways here goes.

First question: did schrade cut ever produce patterns such as coke bottle hunters and toenails? There's not any in the catalogs as far as I know and I don't think I've seen mention or photos of any. What kind of "non standard" patterns did they make that weren't in the catalogs, if any?

Second question: is there any source of information that gives us an estimate of the production capability and amounts of schrade cut? In other words, did they crank out a ton of knives? I'm referring to overall production including knives made under contract like for shapleigh DE and others. I'm assuming they were a pretty sizeable factory, but I really don't know.

Part of my reason for interest in this is that the cut co examples I have are consistently high levels of fit and finish. A little more so than many old knives I've had or handled. I'm curious if they maintained this quality consistency through high amounts of production or if they were able to do it due to smaller production numbers so closer attention to detail could be paid.

Schrade didn't make toenails and I haven't seen a coke bottle hunter either.

Bad news knife slinger".......my documents do not go that far back for the Schrade Cutco production numbers. I do have production numbers by year for Schrade Walden knives from the early to mid 1950's

Sorry I couldn't help, although I have been scouring through my documents all day, they just aren't here

Tom

Thanks for looking, Tom. The SW documents would make a fantastic sticky for here or here: http://www.collectors-of-schrades-r.us/
I am sure that would take some work. ::nod::
