NKCA Stag Whittler 1980 - Broke?

Can't seem to figure out if this is missing a piece or not....none of the blades snap, but they're not loose....
Is this the way the knife should be?
Any help would be appreciated....

That is weird. Two springs and both broke at exactly the same point just as clean as if they were cut!

Chances are someone tried to open a second blade when one was at the halfway position;happens all the time.

So I said to myself.......even if this was fixed I'd never carry it, so it's stayin' broke and shiny!
