What do I have?

My Family gave it to me for FathersDay

From what I can see they gave you a fine old knife. A cattle knife. How long is it?

Oh my!! That's a real beauty. Don't know the model number but that is one fine looking knife.

That's a beauty. Special in more ways then one.

Ulster Knife Co = when owned by Dwight Devine, i.e. before 1941, and it looks mint. Absolute top notch collectible knife. Your family either knows knives or received some excellent advice.

My six year old , insisted his Momma take him to the local knife shop and get Dad a knife for Father's Day. They did great!

Superb example of late 1930s junior cattle knife. I know you would not sell it, but think "more than $150." Perhaps your 6-year-old will be fondling it as an old man.

My local knife shop doesn't seem to carry anything like that!

Very nice old cattle knife. Looks to be in great condition. Like the long pull. Do the secondary blades also have long pull?

Don't know if if calling it a Jr .Cattleman is correct or not ....

It is a Cattle knife. 3 1/2" or less is a Junior Cattle knife, 3 5/8" or larger is a Cattle knife.
Above it has been given a value of 'more than $150'. I agree and think $250 might be closer to market value. It is an exceptional knife & Cattle knives are very collectible.

purchased the left overs and sold them in their stores. Hope I'm thinking right.

Very nice knife. I have a couple, they are great to tote.

Your local knife shop must be pretty good with ones like that. I'd never find anything that good 'round these parts.

I believe those WWII examples will be found to have steel bolsters and liners. Additionally, the op knife has pre-1941 tang stamp.
