Well I've been off work with this busted Ankle for the last 9wks and hopefully I'll be back to work in 2 weeks time, so I decided to order this Rough rider custom shop kit out of interest as noticed how similar it is to the Taylor made Schrade lb7 I'm sure there made in the same factory

any way I'll post pics as I go along

A Languiole I put together a while back, no pics of a Stockman or Trapper I've done....the bolsters on these knives I've assembled aren't very well attached, so be careful, or solder them in place before you put 'em together

Keep us informed of your Rough Rider progress Paul.
I've seen this kit advertised before, it got my interest but I haven't push the "Buy now" button yet.
(Hope the ankle is all better soon)

I ordered the Trapper and built it with my grandson. It came out nice other than his lack of patience in the finishing; it really needed more sanding/polishing but he's 8 so … I left the blade unsharpened- like a training knife.
I also ordered the lock back a few weeks later for myself. I got one that slipped through WC; there was epoxy all over it. I filed and sanded for quite a while on it before tiring of fooling with it and setting it aside. I should have sent it back but figured I'd loose out on shipping costs. Maybe I'll dig it out and finish it this weekend.

Cool project for you and your Grandson Greg
Yeah the bolsters need a lot of work ,spent most of the days filing the bolsters by hand ,no machines I'm doing all of this by hand
