8588 T was made circa 1993-2004.
The handle material is imitation tortoise shell.
However, what is unusual about your knife is that it has no shield.
My guess is that means it was made early in the production run.
Closed length is about 3 1/2".
Made in Solingen Germany. Blades are carbon steel, probably 1075.

By the way, WELCOME TO AAPK!

Thanks for the info mate, the only markings are on the main blade. The model number is only on the box, wasn't sure if it was a knock off. It is certainly well made, tight and snappy. A bit starved of info here in Australia. Thanks, great site.

Here's a little more for you then.
The attached picture is from Boker's 1994 catalog page.
Also a pic of one of mine with the same handle material, with the 1994 anniversary shield.

Didn't even notice Ray. Seemed to me it was appropriate for emphasis. Ain't no thing.

Do an internet search for Boker Tang Stampings ~ I am thinking that according to the Tree's Branches and Limbs on the ones baring its Tree Stamp will determine the Year Manufactured ~ Should be some Information out their on this ~ It's obviously a Stockman of some sort ~ Here is a Start ~
