Hen & Rooster Wharncliffe Whittler - Stag - Mint

In my early knife collecting days I bought a lot of knives that I would pass on today because my collecting eye is more discerning. I've identified about 100 that I want to get rid of. I'm going to post a few here to see if there is any interest. These are not expensive knives and they have flaws but they might be of interest to some of you, either for your collection, to resell, or to pass on to a youngster or budding collector. I'm going to try something a little different.
1) All knives are MAKE AN OFFER. Any offer is welcome; I won't be offended by lowballs.
2) If I think it's too low I'll decline and I'll add a post saying, for example, "I turned down $5." If no one else makes an offer I'll know I should have taken the $5!
3) If it sells I'll post the sale price.
4) Shipping in the CONUS is $3.
5) Any knife can be returned for a refund.
Cash, check, PayPal (F&F). Offers by email preferred ([email protected]) but PM is OK.
This is Hen & Rooster Whittler model 263-DS that is in mint (let's call it near mint) condition; never sharpened, never carried. All blades have good strong snap both opening and closing. Handles are stag. I couldn't capture the tang stamp because of reflections but it has the hen & rooster on the mark side and "GERMAN/STAINLESS/HAND MADE/263-DS" on the pile side. The other blades are also marked "GERMAN/STAINLESS/HAND MADE/263-DS."
There is a hint of oxidation on the secondary blades. They look great but under a loupe you can see they are not uniformly shiny. No blade wobble, no pin cracks. Brass liners.
As a starting point for thinking about offers, you can buy this knife new from various sources for about $50 (+or -). Thanks,
Dennis
Note: Of course you are welcome to add a post saying "Email sent," or "PM sent," or whatever, but that is not essential. If you send an offer I'll get it and respond to you promptly. FYI, I check for emails more frequently than I check for PMs.
