Can anyone tell me anything about this knife?

My late Grandfather said he acquired it during WWII. Looks like a home made stamp M•A on it. Any insight would be appreciated.

Welcome to AAPK. I believe you have a type of knife called a billhook. They're used in agriculture for everything from grape vine pruning to hedgerow maintenance and other tasks, depending on size and weight. Older billhooks were typically hand forged by a blacksmith and varied in size and shape depending on intended use and owner preference. The mark on yours was likely that of the blacksmith. Google can tell you a lot more if you're interested

I have seen several on Ebay, and they were predominately Spanish made but that does not mean yours was.
Try searching thru the Flea and see if anything jumps out at you.
I have bid on a few but I never really fought for one. They all wound up around 200.00 ish
