Jerry per my PM you know that I am a collector of these knives and should probably take my suggestion.
The one interesting thing that I like about this one is the dog head is rotated from normal. Anyone have input on this?

I believe the knife is early 1920s, before mid 1923. The earlier versions had a tang stamp of North America with the word UNION inside it. I have seen quite a few of these with the "sideways" dog head and always on Union Cut Co marked knives, never on the KA-BAR marked ones. It is a cool knife although with a lot of blade wear, some pitting, possibly cleaned up a bit, and it appears to me that the choil has been re-cut in a little more than the original factory one.

One of the rare ones that mama likes. Am I wrong?

That is one beautiful Ka-Bar Jerry Marr.
Thanks for the "Blast into the Past" Ken Mc.

Now I'm hearing that song in my little mind all day, and want to mix up a "Rum & Coke"
