Picked this up yesterday in a trade at The Knife Shoppe monthly (First Saturday of the Month) Swap & Tell Ooltewah, TN.

Can anyone provide any information on it? There is a number on the bolster and the display plaque is plastic.

Yes, it appears to be Delrin or some kind of synthetic. Definitely not bone.

You pretty much know all there is to know about it.

Nickel bolsters, brass liners and sawcut ivory/white delrin with a "longhorn" shield and blade etch.

Released in 1975, as far as I've been able to find there were "premier" versions that were serialized, and came with the plaque, and "standard" version released without the serial number (as I have a version without a serial number and plaque - all other markings identical) probably in box form. It's an attractive knife, especially if you like cows :D

These are a couple of pics from my photo files. They are not mine and were snatched off of ebay for interest sake. I can't say if the brown box is original to the complimentary knife. But probably, since it was a Schrade giveaway.
