I just finished this up on special order 7" blade of 5160, 3/16" thick and 1 3/4" wide at hump. Hand rubbed satin finish and full convex grind. 5 1/2" handle with bookmatched desert ironwood slabs and brass pins and lanyard tube. weighs in at 15.8 oz Sheath is next.

A generic cut and paste from a post I made on another forum, had a little fun today:

I had a couple nessmuks, one finished and a different design ready for scales and I figured I'd give them a go and see how they performed, especially the new one, becuase I was curious to see how the thinner stock (1/8") would hold up to abuse, Did some chopping on oak mostly and took the finished one and did some work on 2x4's. My dad was the commentator and chopper becuase I'm the only one who knows how to run the camera

Here's the new design:

side by side. They both are 7" x 5" the one with handles is 3/16" 5160 the other is 1/8" L6 with a very high slightly convex scandi grind (no we didn't chop all that oak with the knives, that's our wood pile, fire ring is just to tthe left)
