Newly acquired Italian Switch - Question

Just found this one at a yard sale. I believe it is Italian based on the design however there are no markings to tell otherwise (at least none that I can find.)
Is this Italian made typical 1950's - 1960's? Blade appears not to be stainless as there are some signs of rust. Also any idea on handle material? Polished Ivory? It does not seem to be plastic. Any tests that I can do to see if it's Ivory?

You really hit it big at that sale for sure. The knife is before 1950 I believe and is a flatguard. Italian made but I'm not totally sure of the age or the handle. What is the size of it open?

Dan thank you for the confirmation of it being a Flatguard. Out of curiosity why do you think it has been re-handled?
