Recently bought this great German made Robert Klaas Kissing Crane poultry shears. Love the “chicken beak” bone cracker.

Those shears are nice! Most of the ones I see on the bay are made in Italy. I don't have any but would like to sometime... maybe. A couple years ago I had a mess of cottontails to dress and I ended up using a pair of 'anvil type' garden pruning shears to cut off legs. It was ok but not ideal. I went pheasant hunting in Nebraska this Fall with some good Folk but did not need any shears.

These things make cutting the backbones out of poultry a cinch. I am sure they would do great on wild game as well.

Nice set! The good thing about poultry shears is that most of them have a serrated surface on one jaw to grab onto the bone when cutting through it. Pruning shears do not usually have this feature which makes it difficult to use them for that purpose. I have a set that is near identical to them but has a bird's profile on the bone cutting jaw.

Where did you get this Robert Klaas Kissing Crane Poultry Shears? I can't find them on the Internet. I like this cool design, but wondering what other uses for this poultry shears. I prefer the multiple-use shears to cut the meat or herbs so that I can take it to the camp without the need to bring a lot of kitchens gadgets.
