All About Pocket Knives

Fishing knives are always of interest to me. I've looked at quite a few on E-Bay but have never seen one by Queen. This one needs a little work but looks pretty solid. Does the price seem right at $24.95?

I Was in the market for a Queen Fish knife Which Didn't Need Any work what so ever ! Neva found one Settled on a Beauty With little use and a Stone Chipped on both ends , Paid Double as that one , My point Being there Top Quality Fish knives imo.. A Little work means Nothing To Get a Complete and Worthy fisherman Piece .. Think of it this way if a better one Comes along Grab it .Work on this one Till one does KC

I just bought it. The price seemed right even for a fixer upper.
I'm trying to stay away from the collecting part of this hobby but I really like the fisherman knives. A member here was kind enough to give me one for free for my tackle box. That seemed to spark something inside of me that wants a few more.

It's a fair price for that knife. That knife was made circa 1958-60 (tang stamp looks to be "Q STEEL") and has Winterbottom bone handles.
It is missing its fish hook sharpening stone.

Wtg jeffinn. Be aware those Tend to Be Razor sharp Despite Being used or new And Some Times Are Not Seated Properly ( Blade Points Left un Covered ) , I don't Understand Most Makers having Celluloid Handles , I mean you Expect a Person to have a Hand full of Fish slime Centimeters from a 6 inch razor blade on a Plastic handle with no Second Chances , To me I can only say What were They Thinkin ,, Winterbotom was Undoutdently the Better Choice IMO..KC

I’ll have to look for a crappy one that has the hook sharpener to use for parts. I think the crack in the handle can be repaired. I’m going to give it a try anyway! Thanks for the feedback everyone.

Yes, most of the fishing knifes have a hook sharpening stone. These knives have just about everything you need to catch and release fish out in the field. A sharp blade, a hook sharpener, a hook disgorger (for releasing hooks that have benn swallowed) and a fish scaler. It’s an all in one fishing knife!

AND ........ that little hole in the cap bolster is a hook straightener.
