Cool beans! The clip point should prove useful and the handle has enough textured surface for good purchase. I really like it!

What's the tariff on this OTF?

I have one of the cheap Chinese versions of this knife. It's pretty fun! However, it's a pretty big chunk in the pocket.

Blade HQ has them for $297. I got mine from a dealer selling on GunBroker for $255.

Is this a "display" knife or did you buy it as a functional piece?

I'm at the point that if I buy a knife I'm going to use it.I've been carrying a Lightning OTF on and off for a couple years. The biggest problem I have with it is it's lack of edge retention. I read about Hogue and the knives they are making so I gave it a shot. I don't see any of the new knives as collectables. Older traditionals are another story though. They have stories to tell.

Another "practical pig" in the crowd. I'm with you! If it can't be used, what's the point? (no pun intended).

Well here it is and it's a beauty. I know it would be a stretch to call an OTF a hard use knife but this comes pretty close. I have to say it's a beauty. It's definitely a quality USA made product. The blade is a hair shaver. If you look close you can see it's sharpened to a mirror finish. I can't say there's no blade play but I can say it's the tightest lock up I've ever seen in a OTF. No side to side movement and just a fractional bit of up and down play. The anodized handle has a real grippy feel besides being well done. The pocket clip is nice and tight. It's not just screwed to the body. They milled a cutout so the clip mount can inset, nice touch.

Very nice! I like it when people in the US come up with something that makes China stand up and take notice. (Benchmade, Hogue, et. al.,). I love both the concept and the execution.

I think the nature of a double action OTF design means there will ALWAYS be some blade play. I don't think there is any way to avoid it and still have the D/A work reliably.
