Mystery Knife - John Primble Belknap HDW & MFG..... or a fake?

Found this at the flea market today. Tang seems to talk the talk (1940-1964, I believe). But there's no shield, and the number on the reverse of the tang stamp says 703.....a number that would seem to fall within the Schrade line. But I don't see a 703 in any of their catalogues. Paid $4.99 as a mystery Knife. No harm if it was just assembled from leftover parts.

Anybody know about this knife?

I would say you got a decent deal on the HOK. In fact I would be glad to give you your money back. Lol Anyway I am including a couple pictures of your knife I believe. A lot of Primble knives were made by Boker. I am not sure if all of them were. The book I took the pictures from says made In Germany so I am pretty sure Boker did this one. Belknap Hardware sold the John Primble knives as well as Pine Knot and Blue Grass. Neat ole’ knife for sure. The pricing is for a mint or near mint knife and as always it is just a guide. ::handshake::
