Round bolster Remington Muskrat, trace of ink on back side blade. Rogers bone, one blade match striker pull. I have not seen many of these.

Very nice Harald. You always have great knives. Not to say they didn't but I've never seen a square bolster Muscat with a match strike on it and my round bolster is the only one I've seen till yours with a match strike, and salesman sample to boot. Very nice ::tu::

No matchstrike nail nicks here but I sure like those square bolsters and the wide spring. 3 15/16" closed.
Plus it's Remington and, oh, that bone! ::woot::

Very nice knives you're showing, guys. ::tu:: ::tu::

One question that has come up in the distant past is about the bolsters. I hadn't thought about this in a while but are there two different pattern numbers involved since some have square bolsters and some have round bolsters?

There are quit a few patterns that come with both bolster type that have the same pattern number. Some other patterns even have slanted bolster or regular. Ill have to look to see if they have different Remington tang stamps.

For some reason,(age) my knife has no pattern number on it.

Thanks guys. ::tu::

Keith, this knife and two others are on page 3 of Remington knife collectors forum.
I have since acquired two more .... and some one took my little yellow pen ..... :x

Just came across this in Sargent's 4th, thought others might like seeing it. I love the complex design of a Remington Muskrat - catch bits, grind, jigged stag, thick backspring, etc.
