Going through some of my dads belongings I fount this pocket knife. I’m wondering if this is a Shapleigh Diamond Edge pocket knife.
Thanks, Greg

Yes, I agree. It looks like the later shell handled Imperials that were marked on the handle with DE. Is the tang stamp Imperial with the USA running vertical on the far right? I have a couple of these DE marked Imperials as this one.

Olde Cutler. Yes as you described. Any collectible value?

Welcome to the forum Crosswhi! Generally the shell handled Imperials are pretty low on collectability ratings. Although they are great knives with fantastic carbon steel blades there were a blue million of them made and sold as they were Very cheap to make.

Probably not so much. It would be a EDC user to me.

Thanks for the inputs. I have about two dozen knives to research. I do have a nice Shapleigh leather stack hunting knife with a 4 1/2 in blade.
