Ekco slicers

Found this set of cutlery at a Salvation Army store for $2.00. Ekco Chicago 39 USA pre 1963 Flint steel 2 pc. Slicer No. 7072
Stainless steel handles, original box. May be unused. Tang stamped flint stainless USA.
Ekco Products Company was founded in 1888 by Edward Katzinger. Originally called the Edward Katzinger Company, this Chicago business manufactured tin pans for commercial bakeries.
Ekco thrived and grew through acquisitions from the 1930s through the 1960s. In 1934 it purchased Geneva Cutlery Co.
By 1960 the company's principal brand names were Ekco, Ekco Eterna, Ekcoloy, Ekco-Autoyre, Flint, Geneva Forge, Waverly Edge, Berkeley, Kennatrack, Worley, McClintock, and Pakkawood.
The name Ekco is the first too letters of the founders name.
