All About Pocket Knives

I picked up several pocket knives the other day and in the group was a small Western pocket knife with the Texas Rangers
(NOT the baseball team) badge set in the handle. Can anyone give me any information about this knife? Thank you in advance for your help.

Welcome Waterscout, I have seen a variety of knives with the Texas Ranger logo either on the scales or etched on the blade. Schrade did a bunch. I think the Texas Ranger Museum in Waco probably orders them for resale. Show us a picture.

I'm more of a fixed blade Western guy, but unless there's some other stamp on the back sides of the blades, that "+" sign in the stamp makes me think this is a Western put out by Camillus post-1992.

Waterscout, we like to get the pictures posted on AAPK because they too often disappear from third party sites. Lots of folks both members and Internet browsers use AAPK for research. Aggravating when you find a thread of interest but the picture isn't accessible. AAPK has plenty of memory space so no concerns here about pictures, in fact it's encouraged to post them here.

I think so too - that overall shape and cut of the handles, blades and nail nicks look very similar to the late Schrade/Camillus crossover knives. It also looks pretty similar to the Buck 300-series from the same period that were made by Camillus.

Here are a couple of pictures of a Texas Ranger knife my wife bought for me back in late 80's, early 90's at the Texas Ranger Museum in Waco, Tx. (I think those dates are right but not certain.)

Nice knife doglegg, you can sure see a lot of difference in the badge on the handle. Thanks for sharing.
