All About Pocket Knives

Here's a question. Were any composite handled Utility Knives issued during WW2 or were they issued post war? Below is a pic of an Imperial that I have. It has the Imperial Prov RI stamp on the main spear and the USA stamp on the pen blade. It also has steel liners and bolsters.
Reading through Slivey's book (Pocket Knives of the US Military), I can find no reference to composite handled Utility knives during WW2. I believe it's post war but would appreciate the opinions of those who collect military knives.

I believe there were some Camillus knives made with black composite handles. I have some information on it at home, I will be back there in a couple days and can check it to be sure.

But if Camillus was producing knives with composite handles, it stands to reason that other companies did as well.
