The Ulster Utility pattern used in the Prince Albert offer Old Timer knives had jigged scales, but I dont' know if they're Delrin or not.hughd wrote:I have seen Schrade Walden stamped knives with saw cut Delrin, but was jigged Delrin every used on Old Timers?
You are correct Cody, the Ulster Old Timer camp knife, the 114OT did have jigged handles and they were indeed Delrin.cody6268 wrote: The Ulster Utility pattern used in the Prince Albert offer Old Timer knives had jigged scales, but I dont' know if they're Delrin or not.
The Open Stock patterns were often the models upon which the Old Timer patterns were based. Aside from the handle materials, tang stamps & shields there is very little difference between an 834 Open Stock and a 34OT. As Paul said they are practically the same knife.KnifeSlinger#81 wrote:Jigged delrin was not used on old timers but it was used on open stock models. They were practically the same knives as the old timers except the jigged handles and slightly different stamps which were the pattern numbers that differed from the ot line.
