80T clean up-Before/After

Hello, I have seen some great posts regarding before and after pics of older neglected folders..especially our beloved 80T. I purchased this knife off ebay..still had factory edge...sat in a damp basement since 1973 or so. I purchased because it appeared to have some potential..at least another for the glovebox. The seller bought other knives with the same issues that were in this basement for decades. Anyways...after it arrived..I cleaned it up well..with 95 percent of the rust removed and minor pitting overall. I felt this knife deserved a second chance and had him sent off to Mr Herman Willams for new scales and polishing the blades. I still cant believe its the same knife..solid all around..great snap..no play..I love this knife.

I found another pic with the small blade that had most of the rust. This is the only pitting that is now visible. I like it..adds a little character.
