Hi;
Was speaking with a gentleman earlier who said something about being proud of America. It reminded me that I saw this Saturday, and it told me to take it and give it a good home. It was a piece of gunk, turned out pretty well. I should have put it under general discussion cause it is knife related. It fits in your pocket.

may have been made to fit the valve on an acetylene tank. My old tank uses something similar.

Now that you mention it I do remember, back in the mid fifties there was one on the gas tank the oxy tank had a faucet type handle.

i believe planet jr. is a farm implement manufacturer. the tool probably came with some piece of equipment.

I can't really tell from the picture, but it looks like a wrench for older natural gas meters, or the afore mentioned tanks. Just a thought.

Some Folks still make a few tools here W.B.
Here is a newer one, still made and on the market here in the USA. You may recognize the Maker, I understand Camillus made their knives.
I was surprised to see it and was told it may be the last made here. It is about two feet six inches in lenght.
Snap-On does also, got a plant up the road.

the planet jr. wrench, came with a mule drawn plow. My dad collects old wrenches

I have seen some very old wrenches made quite like that one but they were longer. About 16 or 18 inches long. They were used by fire depts. as fire hydrant wrenches until the spanner wrench took it's place.

No matter when it was made or what it was made to do, it has the right letters on it for me. Those letters are..MADE IN the UNITED STATES of AMERICA ...
