All About Pocket Knives

i have just started making knifes. this a is skinner i made from m20 steel. with a hard wood handle. brass pinned.

That is a fine lookin' knife! With that sharp point I could start the skinning and with the belly of the blade I could peel Bambi's britches very easily! I also like the finger groove handle. Good Job!

hi tony, C1 M20 steel is advanced adhesion coated carbide. General purpose to high velocity. Exhibits moderate shock, superior edge strength and wear resistance. the piece i made the knife with came out of a old industrial meat chopping machine.
i did not heat or quench it. as it was allready done. i just had to be carefull grinding , not to get it to hot.
i have just finished building a furnace.and will use it soon.
as i said i am new to this.learning as i go.
