Hello Again!

I am hoping to get some help on identifying my Schrade knife. Their was a card included, but I’m not sure I trust the info. I’ve researched a fair amount and am coming up short.

Hoping to figure out the approximate year and model.

What is the closed length of the knife?

The card is not entirely correct. Schrade cut co was in business from 1904-1946. They produced knives during the war, mostly for the military like other cutlery companies that were in business at the time. In 1946 they were bought by Albert Baer and he changed the name to schrade walden, but the knives themselves didn't change too much until the early 1960's. Your knife is indeed a splitback whittler in mother of pearl.

Good info from Paul. An accurate (to the nearest 1/16 of an inch will allow us to identify your knife exactly. It was made after 1917 and almost certainly before 1942. This type of knife was a bit of a prestige item for Sunday carry or often, everyday carry, but in a purse for the ladies or in the vest for the man. Before WWII, although the practice was dying out, men wore vests, primarily to serve as vehicles for their watch, and secondarily, for some sort of nice little knife. The smallest ones had a shackle and were attached to the watch chain. The next larger sizes, up to maybe 3.5 inches at the very most, were carried in a vest pocket, and later in the pants.

That looks like the right one to me. Heavy blade loss but pearl is good; someone took great care with that knife but carried and used it for probably a long time.

So is this the same knife?

They are close but not exact. Your knife has tip bolsters and the knife for sale has regular bolsters.
