They were mixed in with regular 165 OTs and were all in the first run with serial numbers, which were on the left side of the knife. A few hundred or a few thousand; I don't know the numbers for sure but they were low. The Shikaris had a stunning very rare (now) sheath. The knife in the listing here on ebay has a very late 165 OT sheath, and the shield does not match the knife.

Good catch Calvin. A person needs to know the early history of 165 to spot this. I remember when Codger went on his 165 exploration. Is this the knife that the first ~200 or so did not have a serial # ?
I think the correct Shikari you show is your knife. Very special. One of a very few mint examples.
