I’m interested to hear opinions on this knife. I think it is supposed to be a Case XX 6345 1/2. Based on the asking price of $2500 I think the seller has it confused with a Case XX 6394 1/2. Some things that give me heartburn assuming it is a 45 are the liners are brass instead of nickel silver and it has a spey blade where it seems like it should have a pen blade.

Jerry I had to laugh when I saw who the seller was on this knife. He is a very nice gentleman who is an auction appraiser and knows very little about knives. He is very thankful when you send him information on his sale items. He is right about one thing this one has some issues and I think your right, someone has told him it may be a 6394 1/2.

Just wanted to say this is one reason I enjoy this web site. There are some extremely knowledgeable people on here that go out of their way to offer information to others. This knife looks right as rain to me and I would have never suspected anything was wrong with it. Thanks for the continued learning opportunity.

He has been trying to sell that one for about a year on Ebay. Typical BAD fake, made out of Kutmaster parts. Note the tiny shield, cheap thin blade stock.

The "hump" on the spine of the spey is a dead giveaway. Characteristic of Kutmaster but you won't see it on a Case.

10/16 is actually the metric measurement.

If it was a bolt one would require a metric crescent wrench.
Meanwhile, has anyone ever noticed that very few knives offered for sale on ebay have the correct measurement given?
Oh and I offer my thanks as well for the experts' advice on the op knife.
