I will gladly defer to you guys. Has anyone seen a genuine Case shield that looked like this?

He has really sunken to a new low with this one. I would be embarrassed to list that atrocity!

That shield looks like something a 3-year old drew with crayon.

That's an interesting mess. Not Case bone, and the blades look like maybe stainless steel.

The shield is a real puzzle - wonder who made it? Apparently when he put it together he couldn't get the backspring right.
But I'll have to give credit where it's due - the story is creative!

Welcome to AAPK. You are correct it is a fake. Don’t understand why he would bother to fake it and sell it w/ obvious defects. Maybe this is s new angle to pass off a fake and act innocent at the same time.

As of 7:20 pm central time on Saturday 11/17 the high bid is $59 with 25 bids and looks like 10 unique bidders. My explanation for why such a miserable fake would attract this much interest is because people put too much importance on what the tang stamp says.

Jerry do you suppose that the people who bid on these wind up with big collections of counterfeit knives and then they hang out with the other people who bid on these knives and also have large collections of counterfeit knives and they never find out that their knives are worthless until they try to sell them. Nah. That's impossible.

I have contacted MS Storm through the Ebay message system and at least told him what I think of his Ebay activity. His response was LOL - WTF. Apparently the man can not spell words with over 4 letters in them. I just thought others might contact him and let him know their thoughts. It is useless to contact Ebay concerning these types of fakes. As long as the buyer is happy Ebay could care less.

Isn't this seller a member of AAPK, and one with a store?

How about $142.49, with a broken spring. Unbelievable!

Greg, That’s sad that he is a member here. A question that I have on his other listings on eBay. Why does he say “junk drawer lot”? That doesn’t help sell a knife at all. Just tells me that he thinks so little of this knife that he keeps them in a junk drawer where they get scratched, neglected and unoiled. Does that bother anyone else but me? What is the selling point of calling something “junk draw lot”?

That gives the impression that he found the knife in a junk drawer. "Who me? It's just the way I found it." Another take on the over-used "estate find" claim.

Thank you Ken. That makes sense. I still find it a turn off. Growing up, we had a junk drawer full of nails, screws, screwdrivers, wire, electrical tape, hammer and a lot of other junk. Any knife in that drawer would have been trashed. That’s what I picture when I read that. Wouldn’t touch a knife from a junk drawer.

When he is selling knives on here he's kind of boasting of his knife repair skills and yet when he sells a fake knife on ebay he acts like he stupid on the subject and actually found the knife in a junk drawer. Both things can't be true.

Now that I've been watching his auctions for a while, I have to admit that he does seem to have an incredible supply of interesting knives for sale. It looks to me like he take a belt sander to the blades of the less valuables ones. I would like to know what the synthetic/plastic material is that he uses on the rehandle jobs. Looks like something that he actually molds to fit rather than the cut and sand process.
