All About Pocket Knives

Alaska had a big one this morning. My son lives in the Palmer Wasilla area and is hoping for no damage to well and septic. All the glassware is gone. He is only 30 feet above sealevel but the Knick Arm protects him from the tsunami problem pretty well. The highway from Anchorage north to the outside is toast in places. Please send good thoughts our way.

This is something that is top of mind around here. I live in the Lower Mainland area of British Columbia. I’m actually in Surrey which is considered in the Greater Vancouver area.
We’ve had the ‘’Big One’’ hanging over our heads forever. On Christmas 1700 we had was was probably a 9.0. They figured this out by how long it took the tsunami to hit Japan, where they kept very good records. We’ve been expecting the next one to hit at any time.
I always have a few basic supplies in my everyday backpack. Heck, I even have an emergency blanket and a few other things in my purse!
I really hope Alaska will be ok for a good, long time now. Perhaps the pressure release will be a safety valve.
