Stamped Wade & Butcher Celebrated XCD Cutlery.5" closed.Pullers are 28 and 16 gauge best that I can tell.20 and 12 don't fit and I don't have a 16 or 28 shell to be sure.knife has been cleaned sometime in the past.
This is out of my comfort zone, but picked up this one and a couple others I will post.

Newb question alert...what was the purpose of the shell puller? Were the old shotgun shells (brass?) prone to becoming stuck in the chambers? ::shrug:: Never really occurred to me before, as modern guns don't seem to have that problem. At least the ones I've shot, which is a fair number.

If I’m not mistaken it was the old paper shells back in the day had a tendency to swell and the ejectors sometimes couldn’t get the job done.

Roger,
Not my cup of tea either, but given the right opportunity I would have grabbed it just for the ‘cool’ factor. Thanks for showing it.

Lot of people would be comfortable with those fancy bolsters ,the name, and the rest of that one.

Didn't some of the old shotguns come without extractors? And the shells had to be removed manually.
