TRANSITION SCHRADES

I posted on the transition 153 UH fixed blade in the 'fixed blade' thread here, but I just got another transition knife for which I have been looking for quite some time. Condition is down a little on this one so I will keep looking for a better one. These are rare. In 1973 there was a corporate paper-shuffling at Imperial Schrade as they transitioned out of the Schrade Walden marque. In the same year they brought out the 49r series of fixed blades, with the new tang stamps. But not for a few hours or days, because there are a VERY FEW of these out there with a SCHRADE WALDEN (and the 147 pattern) tang stamp. Voila! Aside from all that, the 147/497 blades are some of my favorite patterns.
