That really is a great old knife! Nice bone on that one. And I can't recall seeing a multi blade knife with a sheepsfoot as the main.

Very nice Joe and very hard to find, I have a couple single blade sheep foot Schrades but can't remember ever seeing a 2 blade Jack. I think Lee calls them Carpenters Jacks.

Schrade CutCo (1904-1946) did not put pattern numbers on the tangs of their knives.

Nice New Englad whaler toungue river. Here is an almost identical KaBar almost the same as a Case Loom Fixer.

Nice KA-BAR, eveled. Do you know how long it is?

It is 6-3/4 open blade is 2-3/4. Same size as a Case Loom Fixer and a Rough Rider Half Hawk. The only difference is the blades are swapped and the nail nick on the pen blade is on the opposite side.

Oh man! I’d love love love to run up on one of those. Very nice! I think one would go well with my little pile of CASE Loomfixers. Here’s the one I’ve been packing the last couple of days. Light must have been wrong. Even though I just came out of the woods cutting a road, it wasn’t near as dirty as it looks.

Thanks guys. Just a bit of a back story if you don’t mind, as to how I got into this Loomfixer/New England Whaler pattern. This particular 1974 pakkawood handled CASE was my first one. Several years ago I had a horrible case of carpel tunnel in both hands. Being a typical man, I let it go until I was losing my grip strength and even holding a jumbo stockman was painful. I found this one at a gun show and could hold it and use it without it hurting my hands. I fell in love.

The hands are fixed now, but I stil love the pattern. Very comfortable and easy to use. Stout as all get out too. Now to find one of those Schrades!

I need that Case of yours, Cuz. I have the Ka-Bar and a Rough Rider. All I'm missing is the Case to complete the trifecta. The Case Loom Fixers are so dad gummed expensive.

You’ve got that right. I’ve had the best luck at gun shows. Although, I did sneak one or two out of the bay under the radar.

I've found 4 vintage 2 blade Sheepfoot main jacks so far, a Schrade Cut Co, 2 Challenge and a Cattaraugus, always looking for more.

Thanks guys for the nice comments, I think this pattern is such a great looking pattern, wish they were more common but I guess then they would not be as special.

Here are a couple new ones, both Queen made, a couple rare 6 blade congress with large sheepsfoot master blades (a Challenge and a Wilbert) and 3 old ones (Joseph Rogers, NYK sway back jack, and a Maher Grosh with two main sheepsfoot which is not that uncommon on a congress but still a pretty nice knife).____Dave
