Proving once again that you can sell a counterfeit knife on Ebay with no repercussions from them. Seems like a counterfeit Rolex would be removed, but they allow junk like this. I admire the seller's honesty but I doubt he gets his asking price. Might be bought and then resold as original?

Not likely he will get that kind of money out of it. But you never know

He says he blades are stainless steel but they sure don't look like it to me.

I don't know why he brought up the stainless business either. The blades don't look stainless, aren't marked so, and Case certainly did make some stainless knives in the tested era.

There is no "honesty" in selling a counterfeit knife on Ebay or in any other venue.

They should all be destroyed and those that persist in offering them should be called out on their perfidy.

Any such knife offered "honestly" will only end up back on the market at some future date described as "genuine", "authentic" or "vintage" and some poor naive person will good and excessive money for it.

Think of the crime of Money Laundering and all the harm that does, who it enriches and who suffers from it.

Selling counterfeits or fakes is nothing short of "Knife Laundering".

I wondered about the SS blades myself and thought that they must be non magnetic so he thought they were SS? They look cruddy.

Would that be a reasonable price if the knife is a Case?

Ha...
I had to look it up, too.

Made me think of a line in the John Wayne movie McLintock...

Lem -Say, Mr. Mac, what does unprepossessing mean?

McLintock - I was called that once, Lem. Looked it up in the dictionary. It's best you don't know what it means.

I have nothing nice to say about fakes...
Or sellers of fakes...
also, not a fan of ebay, either. Got screwed too many times and deleted my account...
